Karen Tye
Has loved animals since she was 5 years old and tried to make friends with the dog down the street. She have been pursuing that love thoughout her life. She has been a registered Veterinary Technician since 1984. Having done kitten rescue over the years as well. Right now she has 5 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 sheep and hopes to add some chickens to the farm this year.
Shestarted showing dogs at the age of 14 when her dad introduced her to a co-worker who bred & showed Samoyeds and that is who she worked with and learned from. Having competed in conformation and obedience and had multiple breed and group winning dogs. She also had lots of show experience during her 4-H years showing everything from rabbits to steers.
IJust recently decided to return to the world of dog shows and decided that the Brittany was the only breed she was interested in. Got her first Brittany in 1988 and was hooked then. Jack was not a show quality dog and he didn't care for birds all that much but he was the best dog she ever had. The versatility of the Brittany has made it a breed she recommends to everyone. She met Cheryl at a dog show, got her current dogs from her and the rest is history. She has had show, field, obedience, rally, and agility Brits in various stages of training and competition. Karen really enjoys showing the dogs at AKC, UKC, and International shows. She will continue to send out her dogs out for field training and competition with a professional trainer since she can't do it all herself.
